A Penny For My Loafers

I’ve been fighting a virus for the last week and it completely hit me hard over the last few days with on-and-off fevers, sore throat, earaches, and pretty much everything else you can think of. Needless to say, I felt a little worse for wear when I woke up for my first day back at work and was not inspired, nor did I feel like putting any effort into my outfit. I spotted my new Sam Edelman gray patent loafers sitting in their box in my closet and figured this was the perfect opportunity to break them in. I bought them at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for only $80 (psst, sale is still on!) and already know that these will be my go-to flats in the fall. Plus, they remind me of the third grade when my classmates and I would stick pennies in my (favorite) teacher’s black loafer pumps.
